A Lincoln-Lemington teenager will head to trial in connection of the robbery and slaying of a 17-year-old boy who was found dead under the Larimer Avenue bridge earlier this month.

Shawn Jones, 18, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Friday morning on charges of criminal conspiracy, homicide and robbery in the death of Elijah Washington, who was found Sept. 5. Police are still searching for 17-year-old Tyqwan Brooks, of Larimer, who will also be charged in the slaying.

Mr. Jones will be formally arraigned Oct. 29 in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
