Section of Bigelow Blvd. to be closed Sunday for sewer work

Bigelow Boulevard from Parkman Avenue to Ruskin Avenue in North Oakland will be the scene of sewer lining Sunday from 7 a.m. through midnight, the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority announced today. Residents are being warned that air compressors and generators used in the trenchless lining process may be noisy through dinner time, and traffic restrictions will be in place, with a flag person on site to maintain vehicle flows.
The sewer is damaged and needs to be repaired promptly, according to the authority. In the event of an emergency, call PWSA emergency dispatch at 412-255-2429 or 412-255-2409.
