Second man arrested in Allentown shooting death

Wilkinsburg police on Sunday arrested an East Liberty man wanted for the January killing of an Allentown teenager.

Ashanti Montgomery, 18, has been charged with homicide, criminal conspiracy and carrying a firearm without a license in connection with the death of 16-year-old Deondre Pace. The Pittsburgh homicide squad obtained a warrant for his arrest Feb. 7.

Pace was found shot in the chest in the 300 block of Beltzhoover Avenue around 7 p.m. Jan. 10. He was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office.

Police arrested 20-year-old Marshall Addison last month on homicide charges in connection with this case.
