In response to criticism that some of its meetings are conducted in rooms that are too small, the Pittsburgh Public Schools board has moved its agenda review meeting from the board committee room to the larger Conference Room A at district headquarters in Oakland.

In the committee room, some who wanted to attend the meeting had to sit in an adjacent room. The change will enable more people to be in the same room as the board members.

The next agenda review meeting will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The legislative meetings will remain in the board room, which is larger than the committee room but smaller than Conference Room A.

The board also has begun to post audio recordings of education committee meetings, including some archived meetings, on the district website, www.pps.k12.pa.us. The recordings can be found by clicking on our district, school board, committee meeting presentations and education committee.

Audio of business and finance committee meetings is expected to be posted next month.

Videos of agenda review and legislative meetings already are available on the Internet on youtube.com on ppstubetv's channel.
