Police seek man for sexually assaulting a child in Stowe

Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers announced today that it is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a man accused of sexually assaulting a child this summer.
Allegheny County Police obtained a warrant last month to arrest Michael J. Schmitt, 22, of the West End, on charges of indecent assault, corruption of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor stemming from an incident that happened in Stowe on July 1.
Mr. Schmitt, a black man, is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He often goes to McKees Rocks and Stowe.
