Police search for halfway house escapee

Police are looking for a man who failed to return to his halfway house while out on work release.
Henry Pierre Williams, 27, did not return to the Renewal Community Corrections Center, Downtown on June 30, according to state police.
He is serving time for aggravated assault and has an extensive criminal history.
Williams is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds. He has scars from gunshot wounds to his right shin, as well as a 1-inch scar between his eyes.
Williams has also gone by the names: John Rutherford, Henry Strickland, James Williams, Henry Colbert and
Leonard Javon Jamison, police said. He is known to frequent areas around St. Clair Village and Sheraden.
Police ask that anyone with information on Williams' whereabouts contact the state police at 412-787-2000.
