Police look for woman in Shadyside bank robbery

A woman robbed the First National Bank in Shadyside about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.

The woman brandished a black handgun and demanded money at the bank at 800 S. Aiken Ave., police said. Tellers gave her an unknown amount, police said.

No customers were in the bank at the time, and no one was injured, police said.

Police are looking for a tall, light-skinned black woman in her 30s, who was wearing a heavy multicolored scarf, black coat, black pants and white sneakers.

Pittsburgh police ask anyone with information to call the robbery squad at 412-323-7151. Callers may remain anonymous.
