McKees Rocks boy, 17, found shot dead at bottom of Pittsburgh steps

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office has identified a 17-year-old boy found dead of a gunshot wound Tuesday night in Pittsburgh as Darnell Johnson of McKees Rocks.
Pittsburgh police Lt. Daniel Herrmann said a couple walking past about 7 p.m. saw Darnell at the bottom of city steps between Brackenridge Street and Centre Avenue on the border separating the Middle Hill from Terrace Village. He had been shot once in the head, investigators said.
Police did not have any suspects or motives late Tuesday night.
