Police on Tuesday were investigating the robbery of a pizza delivery driver on the North Side, the third of its kind in recent days.

The latest stick-up was reported at 12:38 p.m. by a driver for Wiseguy's Pizza on Woods Run Avenue, who told police he was held at gunpoint in the 4000 block Vinceton Street. He described his assailant as between 18 and 20, 5-foot-6 and 180 pounds and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a tassle cap, police said. The driver was unharmed.

That incident took place one block away from where a driver for Mandy's Pizza reported that he, too, was robbed at 10:20 p.m. Sunday by a pair of gunmen who went through his pockets and hit him in the head, police said.

Another food delivery driver for Pickle's Pizza and Sandwich said she was robbed by two men late Saturday in the 100 block of Waldorf Street, less than a mile away.

Robbery squad detectives are investigating and warned employees to be vigilant in light of the attacks. Anyone was information was urged to call the robbery squad at 412-323-7151.
