A two-month water line-improvement project begins Monday in Shadyside.

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority will replace a 6-inch line with an 8-inch line on Ivy Street between Ellsworth Avenue and Walnut Street.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through the end of November. Parking restrictions will be in place.

The project will address repeated line failures but is not a flood-prevention project.
