The board of Pittsburgh Public Schools is expected Wednesday to vote on renewing the contract of Superintendent Linda Lane.

At an agenda review meeting tonight, school solicitor Ira Weiss announced next week's motion will call for extending the contract through June 30, 2016.

Ms. Lane, 63, of Highland Park took office in January 2011. She joined the district as deputy superintendent in 2007 after a lengthy career in Des Moines, Iowa. Twice, she has turned down a pay raise, leaving her pay at $200,000 for 2013.
