Pittsburgh police provided a description of the man who repeatedly stabbed a cyclist Wednesday night on the South Side in an act that may have been fueled by road rage.

Colin Albright, 25, told police he may have accidentally cut a motorist off as he rode from the pedestrian and bike walkway on the Hot Metal Bridge onto Water Street.

The motorist, described by Mr. Albright as a clean-shaven white man in his 20s, then followed Mr. Albright and stabbed him on the city steps near Harcum Street.

The car was described as a gray, two-door sedan, possibly a Mercury.

Police asked anyone with information on the incident to call the homicide unit at 412-323-7161.
