Pittsburgh police find heroin, marijuana, gun and cash in Woodland Shadeland

Pittsburgh police today said they found 17 bundled bricks of heroin, marijuana, cash and a gun when they arrested a man in the Woodland Shadeland area Wednesday night.

Rodney Marshman, 22, faces drug possession charges and a firearms violation.

Police spokeswoman Diane Richard said in a press release that plainclothes detectives from the city's Zone 1 station on the North Side and narcotics and vice detectives were investigating complaints of drug sales on in Woodland and Shadeland when they saw Mr. Marshman get into a car and step out.

When they stopped the car, they found a bundle of heroin, Ms. Richard said.

When they searched Mr. Marshman's house, they found a gun with obliterated serial numbers, 17 bundled bricks of heroin, a bag of marijuana and $6,000 in cash, Ms. Richard said.
