Pittsburgh police asked today for the public's help in investigating the Dec. 28 burglary of a Shadyside yoga studio.

A man broke into Yoga Flow, in the 5400 block of Walnut Street, about 2:50 p.m. and stole money from the cash register, according to a police press release.

Studio surveillance video footage shows a man peering into the studio from the front hallway door. The man disappeared and returned on camera a minute later, looking into the office through the yoga studio side door, police said.

Several minutes later, the man reappeared on screen and used some kind of tool to enter through the hallway door.

Inside, he turned on the lights and went through a file cabinet behind the counter, then a cash register where he took an unidentified amount of money.

He left about 3:10 p.m.

Zone 4 officers went to the studio shortly before 7:30 p.m. An employee told the owner that money was missing when she arrived for work about 4 p.m.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 5-foot-9, medium build and bald, with a light skin complexion.

Police asked that anyone with information call the city burglary squad at 412-323-7155. Callers may remain anonymous.
