A man who Pittsburgh police say robbed a Brookline bank last week was captured and jailed early today, court records show.
Police had been searching for Chester Belback, 38, since Wednesday, when they said he entered the Community Bank branch in the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard and demanded cash from a teller.
No one was hurt in the robbery, in which police said Mr. Belback fled between two homes.
Court records show he was arrested early today and also charged with flight to avoid punishment, escape and prohibited acts. He was charged with two counts of robbery in the earlier incident.
Pittsburgh police have also charged him with burglary stemming from a Sept. 24 case.
