Pittsburgh City Council voted this morning to sell two Downtown storefronts owned by the city to the Landmark Development Corp., which hopes to establish a women's fashion district on the Wood Street corridor.

The buildings, currently held by the city's Urban Redevelopment Authority, are located at 420 and 422 Wood Street and will be sold for $500,000. Landmark, the development wing of the Pittsburgh Historic Landmark Foundation, has already begun work restoring the buildings's iron facades.
