Pittsburgh City Council on Tuesday gave final approval to settlements with two people who accused the city of police misconduct.

Council voted to pay $15,000 to settle a federal lawsuit filed by Collier resident Danielle Fortunato and $155,000 to settle a federal suit filed by Mt. Lebanon resident Daniel A. Hackett III.

Ms. Fortunato claimed an officer manhandled her and inappropriately held her by the buttocks while removing her from a Station Square club last year. Mr. Hackett claimed officers bullied and shocked him with a Taser in 2008 because of a critical remark he made about them.
