Pedestrian hit by car in Larimer

Zone 5 police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Larimer.

Sgt. Mike Pilyih said around 8 p.m. a dark colored SUV or minivan hit a pedestrian in a crosswalk on Lincoln Avenue at Meadow Street and kept driving.

The pedestrian, a man described as in his 40s or 50s, was injured and taken to UPMC Presbyterian, where his condition was not available.

Cameras are not installed on any of the stoplights at the intersection, but investigators are gathering more details from witnesses.

Police believe the vehicle should have visible front end damage.
