Parkway East crash in Oakland snarls traffic

A crash on the outbound Parkway East near Bates Street in Oakland left a vehicle on its side and caused backups in both directions this morning.
No one was believed seriously hurt in the crash, which occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Crews worked for more than an hour trying to clear the scene.
