One in custody after SWAT team called to Brookline home

Pittsburgh police took one man into custody following a standoff at a Brookline home tonight.

The city's SWAT team had surrounded the home in the 2000 block of Plainview Street near Capital Avenue just before 7 p.m. Police said the man assaulted his borther with a gun and refused to surrender.

Tactical officers were called shortly thereafter. Police began calling to the man over a loudspeaker about 8:45 p.m.
