One-alarm fire contained in Fairywood

A one-alarm blaze that broke out at a Fairywood apartment complex this afternoon has been contained, according to an Allegheny County dispatch supervisor.
Fire crews were called at 1:11 p.m. to the maintenance building at the Emerald Green complex, 702 Village Road.
Flames could be seen from upper floors of the building; reports that the maintenance man said there were gasoline and propane cans inside are unconfirmed.
There were no injuries.
