Motorcyclist crashes into backed-up traffic on Veterans Bridge

A motorcyclist was taken to Mercy Hospital this morning after crashing on a Veterans Bridge off-ramp.

Police said the motorcyclist failed to stop in time approaching backed-up traffic near the Sixth Avenue-Seventh Avenue split on the off-ramp, hit the back of a car and then a wall at about 7:20 a.m.

He was unconscious when paramedics reached the scene.
