Man's hearing delayed in e-mailed Pitt threats

A preliminary hearing was postponed Tuesday for a man accused of emailing threats to University of Pittsburgh professors during this spring's bomb threats.
The hearing for Mark Lee Krangle, 66, of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., will now be Aug. 9 at 8 a.m. in Pittsburgh Municipal Court.
A criminal complaint said he also referenced John Shick killing one man and shooting several more people at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in March.
"Don't try to do anything that may involve Western Psych when I get to town," Mr. Krangle wrote in one of the three emails he sent to Pitt professors, according to the criminal complaint. "I am not violent or crazy and that's why Shick was put into play. Things would get much worse if you try to derail me. Support me or perish."
Police arrested Mr. Krangle at Pittsburgh International Airport on April 11 but did not say whether his plane was arriving or departing.
Authorities do not believe that he is behind the bomb threats themselves. The threats continued after Mr. Krangle was arrested.
He is charged with harassment and making terroristic threats.
