Pittsburgh police arrested a Hill District man with a liking for Subarus on vehicle theft and other charges after a brief chase Wednesday morning.

LaShawn "Sub" Norwood, 47, was no stranger to investigators in the bureau's Auto Squad. Sgt. Richard Begenwald said they had been actively seeking Mr. Norwood for at least a month and a half on charges that he was stealing or stole from Subaraus -- and only Subarus.

Online court records show that Mr. Norwood has previously pleaded guilty to theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and other crimes in at least two incidents.

When he was arrested Wednesday, he was wanted on multiple warrants for charges of theft and simple assault.
