Man shot to death in Hill District

A 24-year-old man died after he was shot once in the head in the Hill District Wednesday night.
Emergency dispatchers received a call around 10:30 p.m. for a report that a man had been shot in the head in the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue, an Allegheny County dispatch supervisor said.
The man, Montrell Green, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:28 p.m., the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said. He had moved recently to the North Side and police suspect that he was visiting relatives in the area.
Witnesses have not yet come forward. Officers said they plan to review surveillance footage taken from the area in an effort to develop possible suspects. A motive for the shooting has not been established.
