Man shot at North Side apartment complex

A 40-year-old man was shot in a North Side apartment complex early today.
Pittsburgh police said the shooting was reported at 3:39 a.m. at the housing complex at the intersection of East Ohio Street and East Commons. The man told police he was headed to a friend's apartment when he heard shots.
He was struck in his side, but made it to his friend's apartment, where they called 911.
The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
Pittsburgh police from the Zone 1 station are investigating.
