Man seriously wounded in North Side shooting

A 40-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting in a North Side apartment complex Wednesday.
Pittsburgh police said the shooting was reported at 3:39 a.m. at the housing complex at East Ohio Street and East Commons. The man told police he was headed to a friend's apartment when he heard shots. He was struck in his side, but made it to his friend's apartment, where they called 911.
The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was in serious condition Wednesday night.
