The city bomb squad was dispatched to a Brookline bank where a robbery was reported Monday.
The heist was reported at 10:49 a.m. at the PNC Bank branch at 820 Brookline Blvd., an emergency dispatch supervisor said. The man did not display a weapon and no one was hurt, but he said he had left a bomb. Police officials, however, said no bomb was found.
Witnesses described the robber to 911 dispatchers only as a white man wearing a gray jacket and a black and gray scarf. City robbery detectives are investigating.
