A Point Breeze man was arrested on attempted homicide and other charges today after police said he stabbed a man in Larimer on Tuesday, leaving him in critical condition.

Online court records show that Davion Fullard, 27, is being held on $250,000 bail in connection with the stabbing of Duwane Hayes.

Officers from the city's Zone 5 station in Highland Park were called to 520 Lincoln Ave. shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday for a report that Mr. Hayes had been stabbed in the upper left chest and armpit.

Witnesses told police they suspected that Mr. Hayes was responsible for the stabbing and might be hiding in the Larimer area, according to a criminal complaint. Homicide detectives found Mr. Fullard inside a home on Winslow Street, where he was bleeding from the hand.

Mr. Hayes was taken to UPMC Presbyterian, where he was taken into surgery on Tuesday night.

Mr. Fullard is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
