Lane of West End Bypass to close Thursday

The left lane on southbound Route 19/51in the area of the West End will be closed beginning today, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

One southbound lane will remain open from the West End Bridge to the Parkway West interchange. The lane closure will begin at 9 a.m. today and continue around-the-clock through 3 p.m. Saturday. Crews will be installing new barriers and completing drainage work as part of the $52.6 million West End Improvement Project.
