Increased Hill patrols net 4 arrests Thursday

Pittsburgh police made four arrests Thursday in the Hill District after increasing patrols in response to the killing of Jaquae Pascal, 26, last Friday.

The arrests included one juvenile, a 15-year-old arrested in relation to a robbery. Devante Witherspoon, 20, was arrested on charges of marijuana possession, and Latasha Anderson, 26, was arrested after a reportedly lost or stolen pistol was found in her apartment. Henry Strothers, 54, was arrested for 10 failures to appear in court on traffic violations. One illegal firearm also was seized.
