Homewood senior center extends hours

The city's Homewood senior center will have extended hours this week to help residents 60 and older beat the heat.
The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., three hours later than usual, Tuesday through Thursday. Refreshments and activities will be provided.
Extended hours will be in operation throughout the summer on days when "real feel" temperatures top 90 degrees.
The center is at 7321 Frankstown Ave.
