The Allegheny County Health Department has lifted a consumer alert it issued for Mullen's Bar and Grill on the North Shore after an inspector said she found several dead mice and more than 100 droppings scattered throughout the restaurant.

A new inspection performed Thursday found that employees had treated the Federal Street restaurant for pests and that only one dead mouse, which the manager removed, lay in the building.

When an inspector visited the restaurant on Tuesday, she found four dead mice in a bait box below the restaurant's dish machine and another dead mouse in a bait box in the basement, as well as droppings in other parts of the restaurant.
