Hazelwood man in serious condition after shooting

A Hazelwood man was in serious condition after he was shot in the leg by a man trying to rob him yesterday morning, Pittsburgh police reported.
The victim, a man in his 20s whose name was not released, told officers that he was leaving an apartment in the 200 block of Abanda Way about 8:30 a.m. He said a man dressed in a black hoodie and carrying a gun tried to rob him then shot him.
The man was being treated at UPMC Mercy.
