Former Pittsburgh police chief Harper's pension set at $63,000 per year

The Pittsburgh Police Pension Board on Thursday finalized former Chief Nate Harper's pension.
Mr. Harper, who served on the force for nearly 36 years, will receive $5,260.14 a month, or $63,121.68 annually, according to Paul Dugan, the board's treasurer-secretary.
He contributed $133,275 to the pension fund during his time on the force.
Mayor Luke Ravenstahl asked Mr. Harper to resign last month after the mayor met with federal authorities for two hours to discuss an investigation into possible misappropriation at police headquarters. No one has been charged in that probe.
