The closure of the Fancourt Bridge -- which carries traffic from westbound Fort Duquesne Boulevard over the 10th Street Bypass -- and eastbound ramps from the Fort Duquesne Bridge has caused heavy traffic on the Parkway North past PNC Park, PennDOT spokesman Jim Struzzi said.

The bridge closed Thursday night to begin a reconstruction. It will remain closed until mid-December.

Mr. Struzzi advised drivers to use other routes into Downtown Pittsburgh.
