A Lincoln Place man is awaiting arraignment tonight on charges that he struck a bicyclist in Lawrenceville this summer and fled the scene.

Police said Beau Fishinger, 30, was driving a Jeep when he struck Dan Yablonsky, now 24, who was riding his bicycle on Liberty Avenue with two friends early on the morning of May 13.

Doctors kept Mr. Yablonsky medically sedated for more than three weeks while he recovered from numerous injuries, including a torn aorta, bruising on the brain and fractures in his arms, legs and pelvis.

Mr. Fishinger faces charges of aggravated assault by a vehicle, causing an accident involving injury, driving with a suspended license and numerous other offenses. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
