Roads that were closed over the weekend due to a water main break reopened today.

A rupture in a 12-inch water main at Fort Pitt Boulevard and Wood Street Thursday caused water to flow onto the Parkway East and flood nearby streets, sidewalks and basements of buildings.

Melissa Rubin, a spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh Water and Sewage Authority, said the line was repaired and backfilled Saturday. Temporary paving was completed along Fort Pitt Boulevard today.

All streets are now open and parking will be available at the Mon Wharf Monday.

Port Authority's East Busway, which closed Saturday from Downtown to Shadyside due to another water main break, also reopened tonight.

Crews will continue to clean up debris in the area this week. No further traffic delays are expected.
