Downtown crash affecting traffic

Pittsburgh police homicide detectives have been called to the scene of a car accident at Ross Street and Second Avenue, Downtown.

Emergency dispatchers said an elderly man drove into a wall at the intersection and was critically injured.

He was being treated at UPMC Mercy.

Traffic in the area was either stopped or moving slowly because of the accident.
