The Department of City Planning will hold its first public meeting for the transportation piece of its comprehensive plan for the city Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Carnegie Mellon University's Porter Hall on Frew Street.

The public is encouraged to attend this or subsequent meetings to provide input about how the city plans for the future of transportation.

Planners will also present information about the plan as a whole, the progress so far in building it and the 2012 schedule of public input gatherings. Project details, schedules, and more PLANPGH info can also be found at www.planpgh.com .
