POINT BREEZE: Pittsburgh New Church will conducts its traditional "Tableaux Vivant" Christmas pageant at 4:30 p.m. at the church. The event will be the re-telling of the Christmas story with hymns, readings and costumed live scenes. The church is located at 299 Leroi Road.

SQUIRREL HILL: "Great Collaborations: The Alliance of Blacks and Jews in the 20th Century," a seven-month educational and cultural series sponsored by the August Wilson Center for African American Culture and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, begins with a town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, 5738 Forbes Ave. "Tainted Games: The Politics of Race in the 1936 Berlin Olympics," will be the topic of author David Clay Large. A reaction panel will feature Sala Udin; Joy Braunstein, director of the Holocaust Center of the Jewish Federation; and Holocaust educator Jason Russo.
DOWNTOWN: A Gershwinter Night, a tribute to the music of George and Ira Gershwin, featuring the Sean Jones International All-Star Quintet with special guest Eli Degibri, the famed Israeli saxophonist and director of the Red Sea Jazz Festival, is at 8 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Sunday at the August Wilson Center.
