Boy shot in Marshall-Shadeland

A boy is expected to survive after he was shot in the stomach in Marshall-Shadeland tonight.

Police said the 14-year-old boy came down the stairs in a home in the 2900 block of Frederick Street about 7:15 p.m. and told one of his parents that he had been shot. Investigators later found holes in a wall inside the home and shell casings in a nearby alley.

The boy was taken to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in an undisclosed condition. Police are still investigating whether he was the target of the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
