Boy, 8 months, burned in Crafton Heights

An 8-month-old boy was hospitalized in stable condition Sunday after suffering burns Saturday in Crafton Heights.

Pittsburgh police and sex assault detectives responded to UPMC Mercy just before 10:30 Saturday after the child had been admitted to the hospital for treatment to scalding injuries on his lower body.

Detectives had interviewed one parent and continue to investigate.
