An Allegheny County judge Tuesday reduced the bond of a former Pittsburgh Public Schools police officer from $1 million to $50,000, and he has since left the jail.

Robert Lellock, 44, of Beltzhoover had been in the county jail since Sept. 20 when he was arrested on charges of sexually abusing three children at Arthur J. Rooney Middle School on the North Side. Online court records showed that he posted bail Tuesday.

Mr. Lellock is accused of indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in incidents his accusers say took place in the late 1990s at the school.

His attorney filed a motion seeking a bond reduction, and President Judge Donna Jo McDaniel granted it over the objection of Deputy District Attorney Laura Ditka.

Mr. Lellock is scheduled to go to trial Jan. 23.
