Allegheny County to hold town hall meeting for women veterans

The Allegheny County Division of Veteran Services will hold a town hall meeting March 16 to discuss services available to the county's 7,200 women veterans.
The meeting, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Hall in Oakland, will cover health care, employment, education and family-related programs. Employers are invited to discuss local job opportunities.
Keynote speakers include Patricia Hayes, chief consultant for patient care at the Veterans Health Administration, and Lt. Col. Michele R. Papakie, Inspector General 171st Air Refueling Wing.
Free parking will be available at the University Drive Division of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System at University Drive C. Transportation from the VA parking lot to Soldiers and Sailors Hall will be provided for all attendees. Child care will also be offered for children 5 to 10 years old, and lunch will be provided for attendees at no cost.
