A United flight bound for Salt Lake City from Dulles International Airport was diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport when a pilot said there were fumes in the cabin, an airport spokeswoman said.

The Airbus A319 -- flight number UA645 -- landed without incident at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Pittsburgh airport spokeswoman Joann Jenny said.

Airport firefighters investigated, didn't find any problems, and turned the plane over to United mechanics, she said.

No passengers or employees sought treatment, she said.
