Motorist at a gas station made a big contribution
We were at the North Huntingdon Giant Eagle on a Wednesday night to use our expiring fuel perks.
As our vehicle was low on gas, we used most of our 30 gallons filling our tank. A gentleman pulled up behind us and proceeded to get his gas. I guess he happened to notice our three cans in the back of our vehicle, which we were only able to put a small amount of gas in.
He asked for our cans and said he only needed 15 gallons in his vehicle. He then proceeded to fill them. We tried to give him money, as gas is very expensive, but he refused it. He said he had a big discount to use up.

He said, "If you see me sitting on the side of the road one day, I'd appreciate if you stopped," and then proceeded to leave in his black SUV.
We never thought to get his name. We just hope he reads this so he knows how much we appreciate it.

Young couple's honesty makes a nice impression
My husband and I went to the movies recently near Delmont.
It was the last night for the film, and there was only one young couple besides us in the theater. When the film was over, they left before we did.
We took our time, as old folks tend to do, and at the entrance, to our surprise, we saw the young man from the theater waiting. He asked my name and which car was ours. Then he handed me a pack of credit cards and money -- over $100 -- and said he had found it on the ground near the passenger side of our car.
He would not take a reward. We intend to pay it forward for this good deed -- it surely left us with a warm feeling of appreciation for the younger generation!

When unprepared for the snow, another's brush is appreciated
During the first snow accumulation of the year, I forgot to place my snow brush inside my car, parked on Cypress Street in Bloomfield.
Around 2 p.m. I went to my car, only to realize not only did I forget to place the snow brush in my car, but I didn't have a pair of gloves in my coat pocket! I was trying to clear the snow from my windshield with my bare hands when this woman in a white car stopped to lend a hand.
She passed me her snow brush, and I was able to clear the snow from my car! Thank you. I really appreciated your act of kindness.

Work colleague is so helpful you can't help but notice him
I have a co-worker who loves to read the Random Acts of Kindness column every Thursday. He even prints them out and keeps a copy to remind him of how many good people there are in the world.
He has the biggest heart himself. There is not one day that goes by that he doesn't do something good for someone. He does acts of kindness for family, friends, co-workers and random people he doesn't even know.
He has picked up strangers' grocery bills, helped people with rides, filled up gas tanks and been a caring friend to anyone who has ever met him. I smile when I imagine how many people he has made an impact on and how those people will in turn pay it forward.
This individual has set such a good example of how everyone should act on a daily basis. I have to thank this co-worker of mine; he has shown me what it means to be a good Samaritan.
