Stacy Innerst is the artist. You are the caption writer.

The battle of the sexes shows no sign of letting up, at least according to the many CapCon 191 entries (click on second image to see the cartoon) that concocted a gender-based conflict in the image created by Stacy (who, by the way, is of the male persuasion). But would not life be tedious without constant gender tension?

Bang out your captions for CapCon 192 and send up to three to page2@post-gazette.com or mail to: Caption Contest/Portfolio, Post-Gazette, 34 Blvd. of the Allies, Pittsburgh PA 15222. Please include name and address and identify your municipality or city neighborhood. Deadline: Sept. 10. Winners receive a PG umbrella that can shield you from fly balls at Pirates post-season games.

First Place

"Honey, are you sure this was in 'Fifty Shades of Grey?' "

Mark J. Vignone, Robinson

Second Place

Scott Tredwell, Advance, N.C.

Third Place

Fred didn't know which made him feel worse ... his wife confessing to an affair with the knife-thrower, or her decision to reveal the fact at this very moment.

Jonn Maydak, Swisshelm Park
