West Virginia will open the Big 12 schedule at home on Sept. 29 with a game against Baylor and will host four other Big 12 teams in the program's inaugural season in its new conference.
The Mountaineers will host Kansas State on Oct. 20, TCU on Nov. 3, Oklahoma on Nov. 17, and Kansas on Dec. 1.
The team will travel to Texas on Oct. 6, Texas Tech on Oct. 13, Oklahoma State on Nov. 10 and Iowa State on Nov. 24.
West Virginia's settlement with the Big East Conference, announced officially today, opened the door for the much-anticipated release of the Big 12 schedule.
"I know our fans will be looking forward to having the Big 12 schools visit Milan Puskar Stadium this fall," athletic director Oliver Luck said in a statement. "This is a tremendous opportunity for our department, and the challenges ahead are certainly exciting."
The team also will play at home against Marshall to open the season Sept. 1, host Maryland Sept. 22 and play James Madison, a Football Championship Subdivision school, at Fed Ex Field in Landover, Md. on Sept. 15.
"I am excited about this year's schedule, especially since we will be competing in the Big 12," said coach Dana Holgorsen in a statement.
"I am familiar with the conference and know the challenges that are ahead of us. Mixing our conference schedule with Maryland, Marshall and James Madison, the offseason becomes even more important to our preparation."
