Woodley sidelined for Ravens game, maybe more

LaMarr Woodley's hamstring injury is "not good," a team source told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and he could miss an extended period of time -- further weakening an already depleted linebacker corps.
Woodley will not play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at Heinz Field and will likely miss the following game against the Cincinnati Bengals, meaning he probably won't return until after the Nov. 20 bye week.
He was injured in the third quarter in the 25-17 victory against the New England Patriots when he fell to the ground trying to rush quarterback Tom Brady. The incident was similar to when Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson injured his hamstring and collapsed to the ground while running with the ball in a game against the Steelers last month. Johnson has missed the past four games.
Coach Mike Tomlin could update Woodley's injury today during his weekly televised news conference.
The Steelers played against the Patriots without linebackers James Harrison, James Farrior and backup Jason Worilds. When Woodley was injured, rookie outside linebacker Chris Carter replaced him.
